Mena House and the pyramids

Enjoying an early dinner with a rather spectacular backdrop.

After more than three and a half years in Cairo I thought it was time I stayed here and enjoyed the view. I got a good last minute deal of about 67 usd for a pyramid view room, with full view of two of them. So, I've spent the afternoon on my balcony and then dinner.

My alarm is set for 445am to see sunrise and I've got a pyramid tour booked for later in the morning. It will be my second visit only, amazing how few times I've been, but my weekends are just spent doing normal weekend stuff.

Still waiting for my visa...
