Jersey Memories

Last day on Jersey. Went along to see the Jersey tapestries which were made in 1995 to remember the occupation of the island during the Second World War.
There are 13 tapestries - 1 from each parish of the island and a new edition added later which highlights the role of the Red Cross.
Produced by the local communities each has a theme and tells the stories of their lives and hardship of the period. Fascinating and very moving to see.
And sadly that was the end of my trip so it back to the airport and home to Scotland after a lovely break.
