Dogs in a boat
Where now? Who now? When now? Waking in my hipster hotel I dispatch my morning routines, pack my rucksack, checkout, and walk through sharp sunlight to the Barbican.
I have been assigned a double sized room. Today's session must be popular. I'm not confident in the conference WiFi and I've forgotten my Ethernet adaptor, so I take a quick trip to PC World where I have the choice of Thunderbolt or USB. I take both.
The session goes well, but there's no time to rest. I check in to my mother's flat, connect to the broadband and get deep into C++. I speak to Gaspar in Hungary and Jon in Somerset. I eat takeaway sushi.
Later, I revisit the land of my youth - Wimbledon. It's raining again and nothing looks familiar - not even the train station. Letitia and I discuss a presentation that need to be submitted for review by the end of the month. Leon goes out for pizza, while baby cries unconvincingly in her cot.
Back at mum's flat there's more code to test for tomorrow's workshop. I'm done by midnight - in more ways than one.
