the dirt beneath your feet
I later tried the earlier stuff, but it didn't take the way most of Superunknown did; even when I re-listened to the whole thing this evening after putting the piggies to sleep I skipped past Kickstand, which I never liked. It's perhaps the same lack of interestingly-constructed crisp angsty crunchiness compared to the rest of the album. It will always sound slightly odd when not played on the Panasonic stereo I bought in first year, so embedded it became.
