spent all of this day in columbus trying to get the new car fixed.
...part of the story i hinted at in yesterday's entry is that
a repair didnt get completed before my purchase of the car,
so an estimated cost of the repair was deducted from my purchase price,
and i had to fix it on my own time
(or find another ride across ohio in the near future
to come back out after they fix it)

this little (deceased) fellow was outside the place i took my car to, right next to the bench.
kind of sad, but i feel it kinda captured the mood of the day.
a pessimistic manager at the place almost convinced me that buying the car was a mistake,
but his speculation about the car ended up being false and everything's ok.
the weather was really strange too-
the sun was really warm,
and there wasnt a cloud in the sky,
but the wind could make your body numb.

missed an interesting blip opportunity early in the day.
a select few of you may remember this blip of mine
(one of my very first ever)
well-
i drove by this building and it had bulldozers (being operated) around it,
with a giant sign on the side of it that read
"save this house!", with a phone number at the bottom.
i thought it was amusing,
but before i could pull the camera out at the traffic stop,
a giant truck pulled in front of it and blocked the view.
but i still i managed to take this picture as i drove by.

another observation:
ive seen a lot more of the ohio DUI plates the past few days than normal,
and theyve ALL been trucks.
(ohio makes people that are caught drunk driving get specially colored liscense plates)
