Playhouse windows
The Playhouse theatre in Cheltenham is a restored theatre of intimate proportions. I have very fond memories of attending concerts there during the twenty-one years of the Cheltenham Folk Festival. Sadly this is no more, but tonight I attended an event called Poetry in Motion, as part of the Cheltenham poetry festival.
As the title suggests, various poems had been set to film. Many archive images were used. My favourite was about a launderette, but I also enjoyed films about Wimpy bars, the plight of refugees, and memories of Weston-Super-Mare.
I would have liked to talk to the poets in the bar afterwards, but it was far too late for a weekday night! Work...
