Legion d'honneur

Today I took my old gent to his annual dinner.  At the end – and in a surprisingly moving ceremony - the Legion d’honneur  was presented to two of the veteran service personnel by a representative of the French Government.  It’s believed they are the first to be presented under President Macron.  Here are the proud recipients, Peter and Edward.  Many congratulations to them both.
 
Nothing else to say today, I’m only recently back and pretty exhausted.  Still it was a pleasure to facilitate my old gent’s participation.  And we had a laugh!
