in the evening sky, over the industrial town of Rotherham in the county of Yorkshire. I was visiting here to attend the old boys association meeting for my old school.

In the distance is Keppel's Column. Built in 1770 to celebrate Admiral Keppel's acquittal at his court martial after a defeat at the hands of the French at the Battle of Ushant.
