Croy Hill

A short walk for our Ramblers group on Tuesday - starting and ending at Auchinstarry Marina, we walked along the Forth & Clyde Canal for a few hundred metres before entering the woods at Nethercroy and then up and (nearly) over Croy Hill. (Croy Hill is on the Antonine Wall and is the site of a Roman fort.)

As we reached the main path up Croy Hill the wind blew in a heavy shower of rain and we decided, on account of the wind and rain in our faces, to give the summit a miss and walk round the hill instead.
