Sweet Vernal

One of the very first grasses to flower in the meadow, the lovely, low-growing Sweet vernal. It's a superb constituent of the meadow, it being one of the very fine grass species allowing plenty of light to reach the soil surface, encouraging other wild flowers to grow.
