Aerial Ropeway

Following on from yesterdays blip of a brick, I happened to be driving past the brickworks where it was made.

Claughton Brickworks is well known (locally at least) for the Aerial ropeway that was used to bring shale down from the moor above.

Although it is not working at the moment it is obviously of historic importance and the transport trust has erected this red plaque on one of the buckets from the ropeway.
