the dreaded steriliser

I have been putting off getting the steriliser out as breastfeeding was going so well. Until today! :(

Rhona had her second lot of jabs which went fine but at her weigh in she had only put on 3oz in 4 weeks. :( Not so good. She was doing brilliantly,sauntering along the 75th percentile and, all of a sudden, she drops to the 50th! Advised to come back in 2 weeks to check her weight and may be advised to supplement with formula. Would really rather not do that so out comes the steriliser and breast pump. Hoping that more frequent feeds and pumping at the same time will boost my supply and negate the need for formula. We will see.

Last night was hellish. Up every other hour with rhona screaming, not wanting to feed, just wanting picked up and cuddled. It's worse because she sleeps all night normally. Hoping for a better night tonight, especially since it is the first night in her own room. A dream feed before I go to bed may help, for weight gain a well as for a good nights sleep!
