Washington

We picked up our hire car from JFK airport and headed down to Washington, about 250 miles, Matt was our chauffer and did an amazing job driving out of NYC and into Washington in rush hour. Hotel is somewhat dated, shabby and not exactly spotless but from the reviews we read before we booked, and the price, it's not a shock. The plus side is that it's really central.

We had a wander to try and find some food but all a bit gourmet and mega bucks...ended up back at the hotel for spaghetti and meat balls which were very good and filling.

We walked down to look at the Whitehouse....can't get very close to it!!

I have taken loads of photos....with my camera...keep forgetting I need a blip photo on my phone!! This is a very posh shopping and eating mall!
