Thank you for your comments, stars and hearts for my New York City blips. I enjoyed the opportunity to focus on subjects other than wildlife, but I'm back home now, and of course .... out with my big lens, looking for birds, deer, foxes, whatever decides to wander my way.
I found a pair of Tree Swallows going in and out of a bird house previously in use by a wren. Last week the lone wren was building a nest in the box, but apparently it was never put to use. I'm assuming this swallow is the male, as he flew repeatedly from the tree to the box roof, while the female looked out. I was waiting for him to come back with food for chicks but that didn't happen. Maybe next week.
