Everyday I Write The Book

By Eyecatching

Beer is proof ...

... that God wants us to be happy.

Not the first time that Top Gun has quoted Benjamin Franklin at me. Mind you I accidentally called Ed Milliband Ed Millie Bland. Genuine mistake. Top Gun nearly pissed himself laughing.

We did The Old Bank of England on Fleet Street and The George on The Strand. I accidentally ordered a pint of 8.5% proof bitter in the first pub - an honest mistake that set me up for the evening. Homity pie with chips and gravy helped soak it up. The place has mice, can you believe it. Running across the floor of the pub during opening hours. I have witnesses. That's not something you see every day.

I was in London for a couple of events in Euston and Fetter Lane respectively. Oh and a teleconference as I walked across Waterloo Bridge in 23 degrees of sunshine. I tried using The Scooter Cafe but the mobile signature was rubbish, particularly in the musty basement. I love The Scooter.

Also hit two deadlines working from home this morning. But best news of the day was a friend and colleague who had a special delivery. Seven pounds eight ounces. You have no idea how special that is ... but I will be taking mum out for a beer in due course. Just to prove that God wants us to be happy ...

PS ... Is that Moriarty in the background?
