Surprise

There is a lovely lane we now take and yesterday spotted an Oystercatcher on a post. Today it was on the same post and thought I might get a picture but no she was off, John jumped out to look and this was inside the post. He quickly did a click and snap and we left. In a field across the road we could see another oyster catcher and wonder if it's her mate.

As ŵe drove away John remembered that when passing this morning workmen had parked two vehicles next to this post, it's good she came back.


Taken from the foot bridge. The cloud has cleared this evening although it remains quite breezy.
