There's no place like home

The weekend company has been a mixture of German, Irish and English folk. Friends and new friends. The social mix all lubricated by good food and drink and by staying in a truly remarkable location.
I've been looking at this place in the Landmark Trust book for over a dozen years so I was more than thrilled to be invited to spend the weekend. It didn't disappoint. Well done Bishop of Argyll who built it in about 1512.
Early part of the day we went off and did a bit of a tour of Kintyre and then another walk on the beach in the opposite direction from Saturday past Saddell House which is another of the 6 houses on the estate. All owned and managed by the trust. Anyone who would like house guests in any of them need only ask :-).
