Another Heirloom

Looking for something else in a box of odds and s--s, I came across this, which some of you may recognise as a ring gauge. It belonged to my father, who was far more artistic than I am. Apart from a few pairs of pliers and a small boxwood mallet, this is all I have left of his jewellery tools.
