Battle of Arras

46,000 poppies were dropped from the Wallace Monument in Stirling this morning to commemorate the Battle of Arras in Northern France which ended on 16 May, 1917 and where 46,000 Scottish soldiers were either killed or wounded. Unfortunately it was a very dull day and the rain came on just before the drop at 11. Probably better large.
