Mono Monday...Telling a Story

I think it's funny how the headstones at the national cemetery tell a story. Most of them just give the dates of when the man/woman was born and died. But, some give more facts.

The one to the right was a beloved father, while the one on the left served in the Battle of the Bulge...AND...he had 7...count 'em...7 holes in one.

As for the whirly-gig thing in front of the one stone, your guess is as good as mine. Perhaps he had a boatload of grandkids that he liked to play with. OR...since it is red, white, and blue...maybe he loved his country.

We'll probably never know.
