Prince Charles The Duke of Rothesay attended a function at Dumfries House in Ayrshire wearing a Davey Crocket hat. When he was asked why he had chosen that particular head gear he replied that he had asked his mummy what he should wear to Dumfries House and she replied, "Dumfries House? Wear the Fox Hat".
