after the rain

It hasn't rained properly for weeks, but today's precipitation made up for that. I love going into town at this time of year, passing  the banks lined with the white froth of cow parsley on either side. It reminds me of exams, as I once had a job invigilating in May at the local High  school and used to cycle in on this road.

I was on my way to drumming this evening - we are practising to play at "Maidens of Music" in Dumfries on Saturday afternoon.
