Brrrr.... Home to mid-Sweden
So we got up at 02:30, onto the bus at 03:00, at Chania airport for 4:30 and back on Swedish soil at 09:45. This was not a comfortable experience but it was (perhaps) worth it to enable us to fly from our local airport, saving us 5 hours of driving at each end of the journey.
Arriving back home we found very little had changed. The garden has hardly advanced at all. This is the most developed daffodil in the garden and most are just a few leaves sticking out of the cold earth.
We've been enjoying the Mediterranean, but home has remained in a sort of cold, dry hibernation. Looking on the bright side this probably means that once the spring does arrive it will do so explosively, with everything bursting into life at the same time.
