Have you heard the one about the tree fellers?

We were promised tree fellers, but only two fellers turned up.  They worked hard all day to take down the last of the big chestnut trees that are diseased and too close to the house.  We have a noise curfew in our village that means you can't use machinery between 12 noon and 2.30pm, but I think they broke that and probably annoyed our neighbours.  We avoided any controversy by going out to Karen's for lunch (which was lovely as always).
