Level Best

I had to go to a writing moderation meeting after school. It's the sort of thing I really don't want to go to but it always turns out to be quite useful. It's nice to chat to other teachers who teach the same year group and find out what they're doing and how they do it.

The school we went to was in Ugley.
What a daft name for a village.
Apparently they have an Ugley Women's Institute although:
'"The Ugley Women's Institute grew so tired of the juvenile jibes that they changed its name to the Women's Institute of Ugley, a rebranding exercise not yet repeated by the Ugley Farmers' Market."
