Lundy

What an amazing day.  The weather was good for us, very sunny and the boat journey was not rough.  The trip had been organised by the bird group so we expected a wide variety of birds but I didn't anticipate that the scenery and wildlife would be equally exciting.  In fact I spent more time taking photographs than looking for birds but I reckon I spotted a couple of puffins amongst the Guillemots and Razorbills.  You did need a scope really as they were some distance away.  We walked the length of the island stopping to look at cliff top birds perched on ledges of the western rugged granite rocks.  To the east the areas is gentler with grassy slopes, trees and wildflowers.  We saw seals, sika deer, soay sheep, feral goats and a glimpse of a dolphin.

A long but enjoyable day with lots of photos to edit.  The blip and extras show various landcape scenes.  There are even bluebells in the main one.
