RIP Arvin....

....Fellow dear blipper and friend Artist Annie--Ann Chaiken's loving , gentle sweet husband Arvin passed away yesterday afternoon peacefully .....she and her good friend were visiting him.....please visit her blip site here.  I awoke very early and just was catching up when I saw her blip of his passing.
     Anyone knowing Arvin...even if not in person knew , through Ann, that he was such a gentle life traveler.  I can fully attest to that in having met both of them several years ago in person after connecting on blip.  Arvin had a wonderful sense of humor and a twinklein his eye.  His lovely white curly hair was very distinctive ....as were the unmatched sox he proudly wore;)  His humor, his wisdom and kindness will remain forever with me.  One special memory was when we were walking a trail along Whatcom Falls and Arvin saw me taking a macro of some moss spores...he said that he too liked to photograph the tiny details in life....a lovely shared moment in time. 
     Arvin deeply loved Ann and his daughters and this was so obvious!  He proudly shared his extensive pen collection with us...I'd never, frankly, ever SEEN a pen collection before and Arvin's was amazing. His love of Ravens meant there were many to see in their home in paintings and scultures etc.  Arvin was always an engaging man to talk with...he was NOT a "stereotyped" guy that only talked...he fully listened and contributed and he heard you.  He was fun and wise and I loved you Arvin.  Happy trails to you and I'm such a better person having shared some laughter on this earth with you!
