Diamond hard

According to Ronseal, this floor is now as hard as a diamond. I think that's probably a slight exaggeration. Still, three coats of dark oak varnish does make a suitably hardy floor. At least I hope so. It's been a day of application, wait two hours, lightly sand, application, wait two hours, lightly sand and, finally, application. Laborious but, I think, worth it.

Could I just point out that the unevenness is because of the flash rather than my inadequacy as a floor finisher!

Certain people will no doubt be glad I was joking about the yellow floor.
