Wound up in Wexford

Doolin

The day started with rain.  And although there have been some sunny spells, we would no sooner start to think about going out than the clouds would bank up again and the rain returned.

So we got the day going with our usual poached eggs, and then relaxed, read, browsed Blip and Facebook, etc.  This evening we went over to Doolin - which is a tiny village with 4 pubs, all of which are music venues.  We had our dinner at McDermott's, and waited for the evening session to start.

An excellent combination of Irish flute, concertina, and an instrument that I didn't recognise, but identified (with the help of Mr Google) as a bouzouki.  The latter is an Irish adaptation of the classic Greek Bouzouki, with 8 strings, played with a plectrum (thanks to Wikipedia for this information).
