Dunstable

Today was mainly a very close inspection of the Dunstable Downs ridge.  From a little bit of height, and from quite low down.  Usually more of the latter.

Tailwind below ride height in rotor wasn't altogether entertaining at times but victory over such silliness prevailed.  Despite the strong southerly, and in excess of two hours to leave as a consequence, it was great to achieve my first XC from the site!  Apologies to AH for hanging back on his first two attempts at leaving :-)

Landed in Arlesey, having therefore done the difficult bit, but a very friendly welcome and retrieves all worked well.  Thanks to J for starting the retrieve chain!

A welcome beer concluded the day as per tradition.  Hopefully the air will be a bit more co-operative on our next visit but great flying together again.
