More walking today
Only a short trip out today - to Inverary. A pretty little town with a famous jail and lots of little shops. We resisted the shops and jail in favour of a walk to Inverary Castle, home of the Duke of Argyll. We walked up a drive beside a lovely wood carpeted with bluebells (see extra) then walked all round the formal gardens which were a riot of colour with the azaleas and rhododendrons in full bloom. Returning to the hotel at about 4pm we then decided to go for a short walk along the loch side - more bluebells here too, but Barbara spotted the lovely symmetry here with the shape of the mountain across the loch balancing the v-shaped framing of the trees on our side. So quite an energetic day today!
