Still Smiling

Me and Andy played in a golf competition this morning, albeit in different groups. I'd spotted him on a couple a couple of occasions and he was clearly suffering with what appeared to be chest pains and a racing heart - and no, he hadn't been on the town the night before :)

Still, he kept going to the end and actually posted a pretty good score. The pain didn't subside however and he had to stop driving on route home on two occasions to let the pain subside. Only one thing for it I took him to A&E where he spent the next six hours being checked over, ECG, xRay, blood tests etc. They gave him some drugs intravenously which brought his heart rate down and suggested that he might have some sort of heart condition which needs to be checked out by a cardiologist. It seems it might run in the family given my condition and recent heart operation. In the circumstances, he remains upbeat (excuse the pun) and was feeling much better this evening.

You just don't know what's round the corner as they say.
