Bright

This is a higher-key image than my normal stuff, but my pale irises are now in flower and I liked the way they looked this afternoon against the snow-in-summer; then when a tiny Lasioglossum queen landed and provided a point of focus and contrast, the picture was complete. I have some other quite nice things - a rather chic little aqua and tan spider on the tayberries, and some Osmia bicornis - but on balance the iris carried the vote today, just for being more cheerful than I've been feeling.

We're due a Child visit tomorrow, so I'm away to sleep myself into a better mood in preparation.
