Waverley

After a long overdue visit to the lovely cheese man at Leith market I went up town to meet the students during their lunch break on exam revision day; they only seemed mildly anxious, which was good.

I noticed that the Waverley pub was freshly painted - I'm pretty sure it closed down a while back, or certainly was in danger of so doing. The signs on the window are advertising for staff and the sign on the door says "cash only", but it seems to be open for business. I remember attending MU committee meetings in the upstairs room - hmm, that was a while ago.
