Spring!
The Campus was looking particularly beautiful this morning! I led morning prayers where we remembered a student of the esteemed institution killed in action in the battle of Arras during the First World War. His brother, who had also been a student, had been killed a month earlier. Very poignant.
The rest of the day was good. A student told me doing my course had changed her thinking (in a good way). I spent the afternoon working with an amazing colleague. We went out for dinner with one of our lovely nieces and when we got to the restaurant I met 2 ex-pupils, it was so nice to see them. I taught one of them about 22 years ago!!! During dinner another ex-pupil contacted me via Facebook (I taught her about 30 years ago!!!!) because she is studying and was reading something I had written! And, I know it goes without saying, but for the avoidance of doubt, I obviously started teaching when I was very, very young!!!!!
