The Lighted Life

By Giacomo

Life is a Highway

I was supposed to be in California tonight in time to blip the golden light hovering over and bouncing off of Santa Monica Beach. But, as often is the case in my life, my plans changed a few hours before I was to leave for the airport. So rather than another lifeguard tower or pier or wave or surfer basking in the setting sun, you get this "very emergency blip" of Highway 94 in all of its splendor. Oh my, I am so tired of my commute even in this light. The great news is that I arrived home in time for a late dinner with my family and my trip west has been postponed until Wednesday. And now I am thankfully off to my own bed.

I hope your Monday was not a Monday but more like a Friday in disguise.

If this image works at all (which is a dubious and humorous proposition), it works best in large. Also, my time on blip has been extremely rare the last week or so and, because of that, I am turning off my comments for a day or two or three so that I may focus on my work which has required every bit of attention and every minute that I can give to it. It has not felt right to be so detached. I will "talk" to you as soon as time permits. I also have a series of meetings tomorrow and will possibly be able to drop in on you between them.
