PINK-FOOTED GOOSE
A not very good photo just for my birdy record.
I had to look this up since I'm not very good on goose identification, and it turns out to be a Pink-footed goose (Anser brachyrhynchus) which apparently should have gone back to the Arctic tundra last month. It didn't seem particularly bothered about being on its own.
In other wildlife news we've (humanely) trapped two mice in the kitchen in the last two days and relocated them. I would suggest to B that we get a cat, but the last six cats I had were all pacifists and anti-hunting!
I'm off for an early night. The right side of my face has come out in sympathy with my sore gum and I've got an incipient stye in my eye. Looking forward to a more comfortable Saturday.
