Flower Friday

This little rosebud is not quite 1 inch/2cm in height.  I bought this miniature rosebush as a gift for my Mom as this Sunday is our Mother's Day.  

My Mom was a florist for almost 40 years and created beautiful arrangements for many weddings, funerals, birthdays and anniversaries.  But more than that, it was her love language.  I often saw extensions of my Mom's hobby and passion extend beyond the formal occasions.  Many times visiting those in hospital or the sick or elderly in their homes, loving on them by bringing homemade soup and buns and always a fresh arrangement of some sort.  I too have been a recipient of her love language many a time.  

Unbeknownst to me when I bought this little plant, my Mom & Dad had headed out of town for a few weeks up to their cabin.  I am hoping beyond hope that I can keep this little beauty alive until she gets back!
