Perspective

The final day of the re-accreditation inspection team's visit today. Yet the entire endeavour feels faintly asinine beside the gravity of the announcement that a delightful former colleague, a generous and free-spirited young woman who so recently became a loving and devoted mother, passed away from cancer this morning. 

Thoughts and best wishes to her and the many who loved her so dearly, especially her husband and son.

A timely reminder to never refrain from those expressions of love we so often find so awkward to convey.
