Bath-Tub
Heave ho...heave ho,
The wind is free.
And the waters snarl,
As I put to sea.
Off to the west,
In a sun-set sky.
The wild-waves toss,
And the night-birds cry.
I'm drifting out,
Where the current's flow.
And the whale-tail flips,
In the distant glow.
A shark spies me,
And tries for a bite.
But I kick and squirm,
In a terrible fight.
The truth of it all,
In the bath-tub...I remain.
And the shark...with the gurgle,
Goes down the drain.
