Day 6 - Epcot
A lovely day at Epcot, despite the heat. We braved the shuttle bus again as it was leaving at the time we wanted to depart, and drops off right at Epcot entrance. Once again a full bus of standing as well as sitting passengers, but we all arrived in one piece. This time I managed to book 3 fast passes that we actually managed to arrive on time for, well two of them we did!
Last time we were here (1992) we spent most of the Epcot day in the world showcase. We did visit some of the countries (Mexico, morocco, America, Germany) we spent the bulk of the day in future world. It was so interesting, we learnt loads, and experienced a fabulous ride called Soarin. It was a breathtaking flight over the some of the wonderful areas of the workd, from desert to arctic, from the Great Wall of China to the Iguazu Falls. We visited huge aquariums, and the future farms of Epcot where fruit and vegetables are grown vertically and are used to sustain fish farming and the fish sustain the plants. Truly is a circle of life.
We had intended to eat at Epcot and stay for the fireworks but the heat wiped us out again, so we came back to the hotel for a wash and brush up before heading to Chilli's (yum) for dinner.
Mr L's knees and legs a bit sore, so the plan tomorrow is for a lazy morning, off to Disney Springs in the afternoon, and we are booked for the 9pm show at Cirque du Soleil.
