Wound up in Wexford

Flaggy Shore

We had a gentle day today.

First off we got a load of washing done, and hung out.  Then a walk along the sea front, on what the "Wild Atlantic Way" advertises as "The Flaggy Shore".  I've commented before about the "tourists", and as we walked, in the distance we could see a coach, which had disgorged a large quantity of people all standing around something.  We may find out what another day.  Whilst appreciating that we are tourists ( and one of the reasons we are here is the intensive advertising on radio of "The Wild Atlantic Way"), much of our time we have been alone in the landscape, which has been wonderful.  I do worry that the current advertising of this area will result in spoiling the beauty.

We walked back, and stopped at Russell Gallery for a coffee - resisting the wonderful looking cakes - maybe another day.  Another wonderful day, we were able to sit outside to enjoy our drinks - the view from our table is the first extra.

Rain was originally forecast for today, and fortunately hasn't materialised, but is forecast for tomorrow.  We went across the road this evening for a meal at Linnanes Oyster Bar, and on returning to our apartment, there were clouds massing, and the light suggested the arrival of rain - see 2nd extra.
