Up & Down

The monsters were just that.
I spent some time during the afternoon sitting in the car listening to the radio to prevent blood being spilt.

Trying to get macro shots of bluebells and dandelions in the wind is a nightmare. Tree roots and fallen feathers are much easier.

At the camera club it was competition night ..... a portfolio of 4 images linked by subject.
However, our club does it as projected images not prints (NOT the way to do it).
Not only that, there were 11 people entered and the pictures were shown one from each entry, then the 2nd , then the 3rd and 4th so you didn't even get to see a complete portfolio one after the other ...... until after each picture had been judged and marked individually. Then an image of all the pictures in a portfolio were shown together and marked.
I gave my images numbers rather than titles so they would be shown in the right order ..... the competition convener decided to name them. Thankfully he did not remove the numbers. However, when it came to them all being shown at the same time they were all jumbled up to fit into a square 'frame'.
All this meant that nobody picked up on the fact it was The 4 Seasons.

I hope this rant makes sense (if not it fits right in with the judging & marking)


The upside was I still won.
