I picked up a hire car and we set off northwards, stopping off at the Loch o' the Lowes to see an osprey fishing and be charmed by a red squirrel on one of the centre's feeders. Then onwards; we had booked into a B & B in Boat of Garten and after having something to eat we strolled down to the Boat hotel for a beer.
