Bird On A Wire

I have seen a few of these around over the last couple of weeks - but this was the first time I have seen one sitting still. This was was on a power line just over my head taking in the early morning sun. It was also probably resting as it had recently been 'engaging' with another swallow!

More garden tidying today, hedges trimmed and grass cut - and another run to the tip.

Whilst having a break with a cup of tea I spotted a mouse climbing up the obelisk that we have some bird feeders on. It was eating the peanuts, but by the time I got the camera out it had gone. A bonus was the robin that joined me - singing loudly - so I go to use the camera anyway - see extra.

No cooking tonight - the fish and chip van has arrived  :-)
