Today I made my work schedule work for me, rather than the other way around!

We have finished the floor!! Bit ass about face we know but we were keen not to have exposed wooden parquet flooring and to at least have something to show friends this weekend!!

Top left downwards: bare wood / 2nd coat oil / heart found on the drive. Top right down: 1st oil in progress / 2nd coat whole room done.

We might do a third coat but we like this colour tone.

At time of writing this, I wasn't expecting a sofa delivery for this room!!! The sofas we ordered in March developed a delay and we agreed the company would call me when ready for delivery.

Clearly a miscommunication......

Asked if they could take them back and store them....not possible! So sofas are sitting outside waiting for the floor to dry....we will have to work around the sofas!! Thankfully we can move them into another room but it's not ideal as I don't want to use them until room is ready!!! (I'm fussy like that!)

Paint work to go now and then all the fun furnishing bits. Should be done by the time we go to Australia in June!!!
