first light is the best light

first commute of the year and it was a cold one.
not cold for some of the commuting bloggers in the states - http://lockringnotincluded.blogspot.com/ - http://bike2work2live2bike.blogspot.com/
but cold enought for a layer of frozen slush on all the untreated roads. as usual, that meant another crashed car on the road between cropston and swithland - the third this winter that i've seen.
