Comfy Comfrey

The sun came out to play today which made feel a little better, so I took myself off to a nature reserve I haven't been to for a while.
There wasn't much action on the lake but the huge Comfrey patch was absolutely alive with insects and butterflies.......the sound of all the bees buzzing was so loud I could hear it long before I could see it round the corner :-)
I spent ages meandering round it taking photos of various insects........the most interesting ( to me anyway ) of which I have included as an extra ......it's a Drinker Moth caterpillar, so called because apparently it likes to drink the droplets of water that hang off the leaves ........sadly there were no droplets nearby for me to test this out, so I've no idea if it's true .....but it is a very pretty caterpillar :-)
