Tower in the trees
We had a ride on an electric tram today, which rambled through the valley by the river very slowly! Swans, herons, egrets and others were busy on the wetlands - we stopped at Colyton where this tower was spied through the trees.
It is a 14th century lantern tower, said to have been used as a beacon for ships on the once navigable River Axe.
A sunny, if cool day - and the weather forecast is good too!
