My bees

This is going so so much better this year. I am really starting to love beekeeping. So a couple of weeks ago I was going to split my bees in to second hive on the Saturday. Came home from work on the Friday to find this. I was incredibly lucky because they swarmed across my garden on to the fence opposite. This was my first swarm collection. Now have 2 hives running. There is a lot of oil seed rape being grown round here. More than I can ever remember - farmers must be making a lot of money. Anyway my bees have found nearest field about a mile away... and they are putting down honey at such a speed. Next weekend I need to harvest my first super which is full. That is about 10kg :-)
